Team

lab concepts - the Laboratory for Conception and Realization for Politics, Education and Culture GmbH, was set up in 2005 and came into being as a collaborative enterprise between apex - kultur- und bildungsmanagement and kp kulturmanagement, two service providers with years of experience in creating successful campaigns throughout Europe in the areas of education and cultural management.

Anja Ostermann

Anja Ostermann, Managing Director/Project Manager, studied comparative literature, history and German language and literature. She worked as a freelance editor for the German Federal Agency for Civic Education, and was responsible for the publication of the „Länderbericht USA” (country report USA). Since 1995 she has been in charge of the conception and implementation of various education and cultural formats on the European level, especially for public sector clients. She also provides process guidance and academic support in the area of the Europeanisation and formation of political education networks.

Kerstin Pettenkofer

Kerstin Pettenkofer, Managing Director, has an M.A. in political science and is working since 2001 in the field of cultural and educational event management. She worked for different print media, TV and radio broadcasts as a journalist. Her main areas of expertise include Youth Participation and Civic Education in Germany and Europe, International Development Policy with focus on Africa as well as International Sustainability Strategies.

Anita Baschant

Anita Baschant, Project Consultant, is pedagogue and cultural manager. Since 2008 she has been working as Project Consultant at lab concepts, especially in the fields of European education debates and international cooperation. She is also responsible for the conception of youth formats and events. Since October 2011 she stands in as Managing Director of the lab concepts office in Berlin for Monica Stösser who is on parental leave.

Sandra Mayer

Sandra Mayer, Project Consultant, graduated in "Regional Sciences of Latin America", with focus on political sciences. She has been working for lab concepts since 2007 and completed a traineeship in international event management and PR there. Since 2011 she is project consultant, especially focusing on EU policy, international relations, cooperation and sustainable development.

Louisa Slavkova

Louisa Slavkova studied political sciences with focus on European Studies and transnational co-operation with Southeast Europe. Since 2008 she works at lab concepts as freelance Project Assistant for European Union related themes.

Ulrike Bretschneider

Ulrike Bretschneider, studied Art history and Art education. Furthermore, she completed an additional training in Fundraising and Project Management. She worked as a Junior Manager in Public Relations for contemporary photography. She works as a Freelance Project Assistant at lab concepts.

Kirsten Möller

Kirsten Möller, has an M.A. in literary and cultural studies and writes a dissertation on representations of flight, expulsion and resettlement of German and Polish people by 1945 in literature, film and theatre. She works at lab concepts as freelance project assistant.

Franziska Ostertag

Franziska Ostertag, studied Regional Sciences of Latin America, with focus on political sciences. She completed a trainee for international event management and public relations at lab concepts. Since 2011 she works as a Project Consultant.

Monika Stösser

Monika Stösser, since 2008 Managing Director of the lab concepts office in Berlin, has an M.A. as cultural pedagogue and cultural manager. She works in the area of visual media for international festivals and exhibitions. She is responsible for the conceptions of cultural education formats and the event management of all projects in Berlin. At the moment Monika Stösser is at parental leave.
